The Case Research Journal hosts a series of online conversations with the authors of award-winning and top performing case studies. Each conversation will spotlight how the authors researched and wrote the case, how they overcame difficulties in developing the case and instructor manual, how they responded to reviewer feedback, and what they have learned from teaching the case.
On March 8, 2021, the Case Research Journal will host Colleen Sharen, author of “The Balancing Act: Making Tough Decisions” which won the 2017 Curtis E. Tate Award. Colleen Sharen is an Associate Professor of Management and Organizational Studies at Brescia University College at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. In addition to winning the Tate Award in 2017, Colleen has also received the Best Case Award for the Administrative Sciences Association of Canada Annual Meeting (2013) and has received outstanding reviewer awards for CRJ and ASAC. Gina Grandy, Dean and Professor of Strategy and Leadership with the Hill-Levene Schools of Business at the University of Regina, and Editor of the Case Research Journal, will be hosting the conversation with Colleen Sharen.
