A combination interactive demo, lecture and workshop presentation given by and featuring Antwan Davis. Antwan is a multi-percussionist who co-founded the Las Vegas based performance arts company Molodi, performed with the Las Vegas and North American production of Stomp, and toured nationally with Step Afrika. He is actively performing and teaching workshops and residencies in the U.S. and Internationally.
His presentation will focus on sharing the history, artistic concept and the diversity of Stepping and Body percussion. You will learn a step and play music with others using your body as an instrument. (Yes! We can all do this. He’s taught it to 5 year olds and old folks, too. And it feels so good to beat your chest.)
This event sponsored by the Fromm Institute Student Association’s Diversity Taskforce and coordinated by Linda Marks.
